THE DIGGERS TRIO
The Diggers Trio, the music for both brain and booty.
From Rennes, The Diggers Trio get together three young breton musicians with the same wish : play and share the music they love.
When Nael, Guillaume and Antonin met in the Conservatoire of Rennes, they understood early how much playing and creating together is crucial to theim. Neirds of The Greatests' Jazz, they want to create their own music.
A modest idea : dance. Dance as a medium of creation, dance as an artistic story arc, dance as an expression in music.
American, european, north-african, colombian or breton, dance as a commandment. Abundant are the personal and common influences to these three rennais, which has done their music.
DANCING CHILD
“Dancing Child”, written by Nael Boujarfaoui and brought to life with the help of Guillaume Linay and Antonin Gibet, is an album that tells the story of a child who grows up dancing, taking the listener on a journey through the life and development of a youngster truly touched by music.
Throughout the album, performed on piano, double bass and drums, the various musical and choreographic influences are notable, creating a coherent listening experience from start to finish.
“Dancing Child” consists of 16 tracks recorded over four days at the Logelloù in Penvenan.
Following this period of musical study and artistic introspection, the trio sought to immortalise the experience by inviting the audience to see the show for themselves, with numerous Breton artists and friends accompanying them on stage.
The DVD “Dancing Child” captures a performance of the album in front of a live audience.
The CD was released on 9 June 2023 in Bréquigny, Rennes.
